sugar quotas

I've now experienced the best argument for abolishing corn subsidies and sugar quotas in the United States. Coca-Cola in Europe, which is made with cane sugar, tastes markedly better than corn syrup based Coca-Cola in the United States. Plus, corn syrup is far worse for you.

Yeah, its the same in mexico, they make the soda with cane sugar and it tastes much better. If we stopped subsidizing corn this would be just one of the great things that would happen. I am surprised the europeans dont subsidize corn- they have bigger farm subsidies than we do I thought.

They probably do subsidize corn, but there aren't any sugar farmers here to protect, so there aren't quotas against Central American sugar.
